Getting Started with IQ Mobile

Welcome to IQ Mobile. This guide walks you through everything from ordering your SIM to making your first call.

Step 1 — Order your SIM

Head to the SIM Only shop and choose between a physical SIM (delivered next-day by Royal Mail Tracked 24) or an eSIM (instant QR code by email). Both cost £10. No plan commitment at this stage.

Step 2 — Insert or scan your SIM

  • Physical SIM: pop it into your phone's SIM tray. It is a triple-cut card — snap to the right size (Nano, Micro, or Standard).
  • eSIM: open the QR code email on another device and scan it from Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM on your iPhone, or the equivalent on Android.

Step 3 — Activate at my.helloiq.uk

Visit my.helloiq.uk on any browser. Create your account, enter your SIM's activation code (printed on your SIM pack, or included in your eSIM email), and follow the on-screen steps.

Step 4 — Choose your plan

During activation you will be asked to pick a monthly plan — from £7/month for calls & texts only, up to £30/month for unlimited data. Your billing starts from the day you activate, not from when you ordered.

Step 5 — Keep your number (optional)

Want to bring your existing number across? Text PAC to 65075 from your old SIM and enter the code during activation. See our Porting Your Number guide for full details.

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from my.helloiq.uk — there are no exit fees and no minimum contract.
