## Who IQ Mobile is for

### People who just want a cheap, honest UK SIM

Unlimited UK calls and texts start at £7 a month and the data tiers go up to unlimited at £30. Nothing is on a contract and there is no minimum term, so the plan you pick is the price on the page and you can move up or down a tier whenever your usage changes. If you already have a phone you like, a SIM Only plan is the cheapest way to keep using it.

### Travellers who have been stung by roaming charges

A Roaming Pass is added only when you want it — £7 for a day with 1GB, or from £20 for eight days with 5GB — so nothing is charged while the pass is switched off. For longer or more frequent trips around Europe the IQ Go SIM costs £20 up front and £20 a year, and iqtravel.net eSIMs cover more than 100 countries when you are heading further afield.

### Families buying a phone for an older relative

The emporia range starts at £55 and covers simple button phones through to easy Android smartphones, with large keys, loud and clear earpieces and a physical SOS button on the back. Every phone arrives with the SIM already fitted and the plan set up, so there is nothing to configure before handing it over.

### Parents setting up a first phone

Children's plans block adult content at network level rather than through an app a child can uninstall, and because the plan is rolling monthly you are not locked into anything while you work out how much data they actually need.

### Anyone who needs internet where there is no broadband

Portable 4G and 5G routers start at £45 and run on the same network as our SIMs — useful in a caravan, a holiday let, a site office, or a home waiting on a fixed-line install.

## Common questions

### Which network does IQ Mobile use?

IQ Mobile is an MVNO on the EE network, so you get the same 4G and 5G masts as EE customers, with 99% UK population coverage — without paying a premium-network price.

### Is there a contract or a minimum term?

No. Every IQ Mobile plan is rolling monthly. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from my.helloiq.uk, with no exit fee and no penalty.

### How much does a SIM cost, and how do plans work?

A physical SIM or an eSIM costs £10 as a one-off. You choose your monthly plan when you activate, not at checkout — from £7 a month for unlimited calls and texts, up to £30 a month for unlimited data.

### Can I keep my existing phone number?

Yes. Text PAC to 65075 from your current SIM to get a porting code, then give us the code when you activate. The transfer is usually finished within one working day and you keep your number.

### What is the difference between a physical SIM and an eSIM?

A physical SIM is a plastic card posted to you with free standard delivery in 3–5 working days, and works in any phone. An eSIM is digital: the QR code is emailed within a few hours, and it works in most phones from about 2019 onwards, including iPhone XS and later. Both cost £10.

### Can I use my plan abroad?

Yes. Add a Roaming Pass when you travel — daily passes start at £7 for 1GB, and 8-day passes from £20 for 5GB. Nothing is charged until you switch a pass on, so there are no surprise bills. For longer trips the IQ Go travel SIM covers Europe for £20 up front and £20 a year.

### Do you sell phones for older people?

Yes. We stock emporia button phones and simple smartphones from £55, with large keys, clear displays and a physical emergency SOS button. They arrive with the SIM already fitted, so there is nothing to set up.

### How do I get help from a real person?

Call 01225 588101, email help@helloiq.uk, or message us on WhatsApp. Our support team is based in Bath in the UK and is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. You will get a person, not an overseas call centre script.

### How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?

Standard UK delivery is free and takes 3 to 5 working days; express options are offered at checkout if you need it sooner. Phones and routers are posted with the SIM already fitted and activated, so they work out of the box. If you cannot wait for the post, order an eSIM instead — the QR code is emailed within a few hours.

### How do I check whether I will get signal at my address?

Put your postcode into the coverage checker at helloiq.co.uk/coverage. It queries the EE network directly and reports the 4G and 5G signal for both calls and data, indoors and out, at that postcode — the same data an EE customer would see, because it is the same network.

### Is there a discount for students or blue light workers?

Yes — 10% off any SIM plan for UK students, and 10% off for police, fire, NHS, ambulance and armed forces staff. There is no verification portal to sign up to and no separate account to create; the discount applies to the plan, and it stacks with the fact that there is no contract to begin with.

### What happens if I want to leave?

You cancel from my.helloiq.uk and that is it — no exit fee, no notice period, no retentions call. If you are moving to another provider, ask them for a PAC code process in reverse: text PAC to 65075 on your IQ Mobile SIM and give the code to your new network to take your number with you.

### Do you sell business or multi-line accounts?

Not on this site. helloiq.co.uk is the consumer shop. Business mobile, multi-line accounts and fleet SIMs are handled separately at iqmobile.biz, which is run by the same company.
