We are IQ Mobile a division of TechHouse Communications Limited, in this document we refer to IQ Mobile or TechHouse Communications Limited as “Techhouse”, “IQ”, “us”, “we” or “our” and we refer to you as “you” and “your”. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. 
This document, the "Privacy Policy", explains how we collect and process any personal data provided by you, meaning information about you which is personally identifiable such as your name, address, telephone number or email address. Such information is generally referred to throughout this policy as "Your Information".
The Information we collect
We may collect and process the following data about you:
(i) Information you provide

  • Personal details that you provide by filling in forms in store,   forms on our Website or other information provided at the time of registering to use our Website. This may include your name, date of birth, address, email and telephone number, IMEI number, payment details as well as mailing address and preferences. We also collect personal information when you opt-in to receive emails or communications about our products, special offer, competitions and surveys. 
  • If you tell us you have a disability or otherwise need support, we’ll note that you are a vulnerable customer, but only if you give your permission or if we have to for legal or regulatory reasons.
  • If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence and if you contact us by phone we may monitor and record your calls you to our customer services department for training and quality purposes and to resolve and customer service issues
  • We retain details of any transactions you have carried out with us.
(ii) Automated information - When you visit or access our website, we automatically receive certain non-personal information such as search terms entered on the site, your internet service address, device information, browser data (type and version) cookie data, the referring website, the country from which you access the site as well as the specific pages viewed on the site. Your mobile device may send location data to us when you use the Services, and to other third parties who you have given access to on your mobile device.
(iii) Analytics Information - We use third party analytics services like Google Analytics, Google Ad Words, Google Remarketing, Facebook pixel tags, Privy – email pop up collection, Mailchimp, Inspectlet, Trustpilot, and Optimizely. These services help to track website usage and improve its performance. These services may record website usage and performance data. We do combine any analytics information with personal information. In addition we may create aggregated and anonymised information for further use and to detect and prevent fraud.
Legal bases for processing: When you use our services, we process your information on the following legal basis:
  • Your Consent: You have consented to the processing of information
  • Contract: Processing is necessary for the performance of contractual obligations in accordance with our Terms and Conditions and for proving services requested by you.
  • Legal Compliance: As is necessary to comply with any legal obligation.

Please note that TechHouse will only send you marketing or advertising information or disclose your data to third parties for marketing purposes where you expressly and actively opt-in or consent as such.

In order supply you with products and services we may need to provide certain information to third parties these might include

  • Distribution and fulfilment centres
  • Third party billing providers
  • Third parties involved in providing the Services to you

  • Debt collection agencies
  • Other companies under common ownership of Techhouse Communications Limited
We may share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes if you expressly consent as such.
We may also disclose your information if we are required to do so including compliance of any legal obligation, court order or request by law enforcement agencies; to collect debts, to enforce our rights or defend ourselves in any legal proceedings; or to our suppliers who provide services on our behalf.
In the event that all or substantially all of our business assets are sold to a third party, in which case Your Information may be one of the transferred assets. In addition, when you use your mobile equipment, your number may be shown to the mobile equipment being contacted. Your number will always be shown if you contact 999 or 112. We may also share your location data with the emergency services as set out in section 10 (location data).
In order to process your application we may supply your personal information to credit reference agencies (CRAs) and they will give us information about you.
This will include information from your credit application and about your financial situation and financial history. CRAs will supply to us both public (including the electoral register) and shared credit, financial situation and financial history information and fraud prevention information. We will use this information to:
  • Assess your creditworthiness and whether you can afford to take the product
  • Verify the accuracy of the data you have provided to us
  • Prevent criminal activity, fraud and money laundering
  • Trace and recover debts
  • To make sure any offers provided to you are appropriate to your circumstances.

What are Cookies?
In accordance with the Data Protection Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, website visitors must be informed if a website contains cookies. Our website contains cookies. When you have provided consent to our email marketing, please note that you have right to withdraw your consent and ask that we stop contacting you. You can withdraw your consent by clicking on the unsubscribe link appearing at the bottom of each email. You can also withdraw your consent to our information processing by closing your account and we will delete all personal information about you provided none of this is required to provide any continuing service to you or to enforce our rights under our Agreement with you.
Protection of Your Information?
The security of Your Information is important to us. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect Your Information against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access, use and all other unlawful forms of processing of the personal data in our possession.
Retention of Your Information
We will keep your personal information for as long as you're a customer. If you haven't made a purchase or engaged with us for 3 years or more, then we'll remove you from our marketing mailing lists. After you stop being a customer, we may keep your data for up to 7 years after the last time you interacted with us. This could include one of the ways specified in Use of your Personal Information and for one of these reasons:
  • To respond to any questions or complaints
  • To show that we treated you fairly
  • To maintain records according to rules that applies to us
  • To establish, bring or defend legal claims.
We may keep your data for longer than 7 years if we cannot delete it for legal, regulatory or technical reasons. We may also keep it in order to help support product recalls or safety notices. If we do, we will make sure that your privacy is protected and only use it for those purposes.
We do not retain personal information in an identifiable format for longer than is necessary.

We may post updates to this Privacy Policy on our website from time to time to accommodate any change in our information collection approaches and uses.

Requesting information we hold on you and correction

The Data Protection Act (DPA) gives you the right to see personal information we hold about you. If you want copies of this information, please send us a written request with the following:

  • Your full name and address
  • Your account number
  • A cheque for £10 (admin charge) made payable to TechHouse Communications Limited
  • Details of any specific information you require
  • One proof of identity - we can accept a photocopy of either your passport or your driver's licence
  • One proof of identity of address - we can accept a photocopy of a recent credit or debit card statement, a utility bill showing the same name and address as on your account.
Do not send original documentation as we cannot guarantee the safe receipt or return of these.
Please send your written request, cheque and proof of identity and address to:

We recommend you send your request by Recorded Delivery but this is not compulsory. Please note that we do not take online payments.
Once we receive your request, along with your cheque and proof of identity, we'll get back in no more than 30 days.
You can ask us to restrict the use of your personal information if:
  • It isn't accurate.
  • It has been used unlawfully but you don't want us to delete it.
  • It's not relevant any more, but you want us to keep it for use in legal claims.
  • You’ve already asked us to stop using your data but you’re waiting for us to tell you if we’re allowed to keep on using it.
Please note that we may be required by law to retain certain information. Before we are able to provide you with any information or correct any inaccuracies, we may ask you provide other details to help us respond to your request.
